Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake

This is a great dessert. I love chocolate lava cake, so I was thrilled to learn how to easily make my own at home. I was even more thrilled to learn how quick it was. This recipe serves 12, so it's perfect for a summer party. This is my first pinterest recipe attempt! I was a little intimidated at first. It turned out to be really fun.

You'll need:

1 package of devil's food cake

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 package instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 ounces)

2 cups cold 2% milk

3 eggs

1/3 cup canola oil

1-2/3 cup water

Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil and water in a large bowl. Mix until you see no lumps.

In a separate bowl combine the pudding mix and the cold milk. Mix and let it set for about 2 min. I put mine in the fridge for about a min and a half. This is a nice time to clean a few used dishes.

Next pour the cake mix into a greased slow cooker. Then add the pudding on top.

Sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips on top.

(I was ready to eat it at this point.)

Cover and cook on high for 2.5 - 3 hours. I checked mine by putting a piece of uncooked spaghetti in the middle. If it comes out with small crumbles it's ready.

Lastly, place a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and enjoy.
